Regional groups
One of the original aims of the Housing Law Practitioners Association was to provide a setting in which housing practitioners could meet face-to-face to exchange information, share experiences and talk tactics, in the interests of a common client group.
The Association has therefore been keen to develop and support local and regional housing practitioner groups for those members unable to attend meetings in London. Those groups have, in turn, set up and run regular local meetings and other activities. They can best represent the regional interests of practitioners both to HLPA nationally and beyond.
If there is no group for your area, would you be prepared to work with others to set one up? HLPA would be pleased to help. Do get in contact with the HLPA Co-ordinator who will be pleased to put you in touch with other practitioners in your area.
If you are already in a regional group, and your group would like help with speakers, publicity or finance, please contact the HLPA Co-ordinator who will be pleased to outline the help the Association can provide.
HLPA convenes a twice-yearly meeting in Birmingham for representatives of all the regional groups. If you would like details of forthcoming meetings please contact the HLPA Co-ordinator.
