How to Join

Please consider the objectives of HLPA, which members are to share, and the Code of Conduct.

Existing members renewing before 29 February 2012 will receive a 10% discount on the fees set out on the right.

New members, or those who have not been members in 2011 and are rejoining, will receive a further 10% discount if their application is received before 29 February 2012, making a 20% discount on the fees to the right. Please make sure that the membership form makes clear that you are a new member, or were not a member in 2011.

Membership Fees

Fees are for London / Out of London. London is a firm or barrister with an office or chambers in a London borough or an individual with a subscription address in a London borough.

Group Membership

Solicitors’ firms with ten or more fee earners involved in housing work: £800.00 / £400.00

Solicitors’ firms with six or more fee earners involved in housing work: £500.00 / £250.00

Solicitors’ firms with four or more fee earners involved in housing work: £400.00 / £200.00

Solicitors’ firms with three or fewer fee earners involved in housing work: £300.00 / £150.00

Not for profit and voluntary organisations with three or more housing workers: £200.00 / £100.00

Not for profit and voluntary organisations with two or fewer housing workers: £100.00 / £50.00

Individual Membership

Barristers over 10 years’ call and solicitors over 10 years PQE holding a practising certificate: £200.00 / £100.00

Barristers between 5-10 years’ call and solicitors between 5-10 years PQE holding a practising certificate: £150.00 / £75.00

Barristers of less than 5 years’ call and solicitors less than 5 years PQE holding a practising certificate: £120.00 / £60.00

Individual members including solicitors without practising certificate: £100.00 / £50.00

Pupil barristers and full time students: Free / Free
